RICHMOND SYMPHONY

Symphony Series 4 26-27 Season

Saturday, Jan 23 - Sunday, Jan 24
$102
Music Director Valentina Peleggi leads a profound journey from sorrow to joy. Strauss’ Metamorphosen opens the program with a moving elegy for 23 solo strings, written in the final days of World War II. The program concludes with Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, a sweeping emotional arc that begins with storm and grief, flows through the beloved Adagietto, and ends in a triumphant celebration of life.
