Symphony Series 6 26-27 Season

International violinist Gil Shaham returns to perform Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, bringing the beauty and power of a 1719 Stradivari to the Richmond stage. Valentina Peleggi conducts the world premiere of a new work by Andrea Portera, and the concert concludes with Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, a bold and thrilling statement of defiance and triumph.
